When a buyer purchases a home, a part of the purchase price goes to pay off commissions to the agents involved. The buyers agent typically receives a commission equal to 3% of the home purchase price. A buyer agent commission rebate is a portion of the 3% commission that they will rebate 1 % to the buyer at closing to be used as a closing cost credit, or pay part of the down payment if the lender agrees. Some lenders have limits to these transactions. Our rebates will be credited on the closing statement of paid after the close.
If your home sells for:
$300,000, then deduct $18,000 = $282,000
6% commission = $18,000
If your home sells for:
$700,000 then deduct $42,000 =$658,000
6% commission = $42,000
Your reduced commission fees equal:
$300,000, then deduct a flat fee of $5,000 = $295,000
You save $13,000!
Your reduced commission fees equal:
$700,000, then deduct $10,500 = $689,500
1.5% = $10,500 You save $10,500!
The above illustration shows savings on the seller side of the transaction. The total commission for the seller and buyer side equals 4.5%
